on 13 months

Dear Umar,

Very sorry for not writing/report about you for so long...

been very busy.

Actually, Mummy quit job as Analysis Officer @ UMCIC and decide to further my master studies. So now, Im at UM continuing my Master degree. Hopefully Mommy able to get sufficient results to convert my Master to PhD.

Ok, for today, u are 13 months old growing little boy..

you can now walked so fast! can wear sandals! can 'salam' everyone when we asked to, can eat by your own eventhough it takes like ages for you to finish your meals and after the ages, 80% of the meals was scattered on the floor.. your mouth cant stop mumbles and rumbles what ever words only you understand it.. but we liking it so much.. you loves to talk you language which we dont understand but we pretend that we are talking the same language..

you was like " a nananana atesh.. atee.. nana. dadi.. "

then we will like " ooo.. Cannot.. You cannot go upstairs" "really? ok, Mummy wont give you Biscuits anymore.. you want something else?

besides, you love to point at things.. point at things and will say something about it.. we will just smile and talk to you..

i remember one morning, when u wake up then you straight point at door.. " ooo you want to play outside.. change your diapers and sleep shirt first ok" .. hehe

fuhhh,,,

it is so fast seeing you growing little boy..

still remember when first i hold you, you were so tiny (you are 2.32kg) as compared to other baby, you consider very small boy.. but for me, you are 'big' little man!! you dont give me so much hassles to care for you.. you are so naive.. laying on your matt and will cry whenever you hungry.. then i will breast feed you. Yes boy, I breastfeed you until you are about 5 months.

so many things to write about you.. but the most precious time I have with you and Daddy will always have in our mind and heart..

first few steps.....

Umar dearest,

January 2-0-1-1 is the month u r starting to take your first few steps.

Nearing your birthday (which is this Sunday) mummy n daddy we hoping dat u can start walking. But it's ok if u don't want to. Take your time and practice makes perfect...

So, last week was a busy week. We just came from picnic @ Sg. Tua, Ulu Yam where u "mandi sungai"... and we had BBQ and fun times with mummy n daddy's frens from the university days.....hehehe it's was such a fun day. I noe u would not remember but luckily we have pictures to show u when u r lil' bit older Insyallah....

This weekend is ur birthday n mumy n daddy is planning what to do on your first birthday....besides the 220 hampers we need to settle before this weekend....busy, busy, busy.....

Hopefully every will go as plan.....

January-Two-Thousand-Eleven

Umar Dearest....

It's the first working day of 2011. This month u r goin to be 1 year old. Time flies so quickly sometimes I myself don't believe that u r already almost 1 year old....

Anywayz, I saw a few school children walking to school this murnin' and imagine how would it by the time it's your turn to go school six years from now...hehehe...We'll see how la nanti ok sayang?

For now, mummy daddy r planning for your birthday. Not a big celebration, just a lil' gathering.

As for today in our "to do" list are:-

1. Rainbow colour birthday cake, home bake by your mummy,
2. BBQ for the guests....home marinated by your daddy,
3. Either spaggethi or penne cabonara or tomato meatballs sauce (haven't decided yet) cook by you mummy,
4. Roti jala and some kuih-muih sponsored by mak tok,
5. Decorations and gifts (maybe) done by your mummy......

Ok ke? maybe we shall add some more stuff to do or eat during your birthday. Im not sure what type of present I want to give to you. we'll see....

Oh yeah, the guest list......i leave it up to mummy to invite who ever she wants. I think most probably our immediate family like nenek & atuk, ummi & cik joe, mak ngah and family, pak lang, pak cu and some close frens shall be invited to your little birthday celebration. when u r a lil' bit older we shall invite your frens and celebrate your Birthday ok?

pearly white teeth :3

on 27th December 2010, after I had a shower I came downstairs. After that I played with you for a while. you were on Mak Tok's lap, looking over her arms. I was looking at you from below, and 'bit' you hand. You kept laughing everytime I 'bit' your hand. Your very few teeth showed, and they were white. I wished my teeth were that white. if they were, I would take great care of it and brush it every night and make sure I don't eat too many sweets. but time has passed, and I can't do anything bout my teeth. so today I swear, I will do anything (anything necessary that is :P) to keep your teeth pearly white, like an American :3

so if you're reading this when you're my age (14) and your teeth isn't pearly white, give me scolding all you want. haha. by then I'd be 28 ^^ wonder what I'll be doing then.

Anyway, so after a while, you started shouting (like you always did) and grabbing my face. for a while I went along with it, and you grabbed my nose. Mak Tok said you were grabbing my zits =3= not funny. then you started to get more aggressive. you grabbed for my eyes, and scratched it. it really hurt. I didn't feel anything though (emotionally that is) because I knew you were a baby and you've done a lot of hurtful and dangerous things lately and we can't stop that.

I'm just going to say that in your younger days you may have done a lot of weird things, but when you grow up you should know the difference between the good and bad. never take the wrong path, and always think carefully before you make a decision. by then maybe you should know about Ayah Ngah's story? I don't want to post this here, so you can just ask me (since I'm still 28 so my memory should still be good :P).

also, after that I remembered I haven't solat Maghrib. so maybe it was actually a balasan HAHA. it was a way Allah reminded me ^^" so remember, NEVER TINGGALKAN SOLAT. especially when you dah baligh ;)

When you are away..

Umar, last week (sunday) Mommy and Daddy (only after i begging ok!) decided to send u back to hometown..

Actually Mommy ada banyak sangat keje nak buat... perhaps, nenek dgn atuk selalu sgt suruh umar tinggal kat kampung so, this is just the right time.

actually mommy nak buat cookies for Aunty Jehan's wedding. I plan to sponsor Cookies for kids during the wedding.. besides, I received order from Aunty Jehan to arrange hantaran for Uncle Acap. Of course Mommy so overwhelmed and accept the order. So, Mommy takut nanti balik lewat, then you have to stay with Daddy.. Nanti susahkan Mak Tok and Ayah Tok to look after you when I am not around.. then the idea of sending you to hometown come =) and there you are.. 4 days 2 hometown..

Mommy rindu Umar sangat-sangat and so were Daddy.. Your Dad cries almost every night ok! and he keep on playing videos of you.. LOL

so Mommy will video call Pak Cu or Mak Ngah's phone to see you everyday and am so released...

So after 4 days @kampung Bentong, petang tadi Umi, Mak Ngah and Pak Ngah hantar Umar balik sini but we picked you @ sogo sebab Zaqwan nak beli stroller =)

Conclusion report daripada nenek
1) Umar suka menggigit
2) Berak 2 kali sehari
3) Makan BAnyak
4) tido petang sekejap
5) hari-hari pegi jalan waktu pagi (sebelom atuk g keje and petang)
6) suka 'ate te teh'
7) suka makan keropok

haaaaa.... so released when i see U tadi.

so, pagi tu after breakfast Mommy ask daddy to assemble your wagon. Ni gift from Aunty Yana, Aunty Aty, Aunty Wana, Aunty Emma and Aunty Intan untuk birth present but only now you can use it.



Wagon ni untuk yang baru-baru belajar jalan.. since Umar dah bole berdiri and makan-makan mainan and main rattles Mommy decided to pasangkan jek wagon tu..

more updates- tadi petang Umar jatuh katil. Backside first. you are too fast kiddo!

masa mommy update post ni, Umar kat dlm cot while struggling to find best pose and space to sleep. You are like that.. Before sleep normally will zikir (humming actually) and struggle cari space and pose yg paling selesa. you sleep 360! by 8 months mommy dh rasa cot tu too small for you. As u growing taller so x bole nak pusing2 360 lagi.. Kaki dh bent. Hihi but for now, that is d only bed we can afford. you have your own bed since you in my tummy ok. So use it until we can afford another bed for you.

More updates, seems like ur upper teeth nak tumbuh lagi dua!!

Umar and the Teeth

Salam son,

today mommy nak update about Umar and the 4 teeth.

When first daddy discover that u already have a teeth, Mommy and other family sangat excited okay!! kenapa la kita semua x perasan that your gigi bawah actually dah tumbuh? that was when you are 8 months and almost few days to 9.



by the time daddy discover, your gigi kapak atas pun dah nampak toothbud. Daddy said he noticed your gigi when yous as usual akan buat vocal training =) u just loved to shout son but that is ok hehe and saw something white and its actually your teeth!!!

and for today, you already have 2 gigi kapak yang sangat obvious kat atas and your first gigi kat bawah (tapi as compare to gigi atas, gigi bawah ni slow sgt growthnye sebab gigi atas dah besar dah walaupun gigi bawah yang tumbuh dulu) and 1 toothbud kat bawah..


soon, dah banyak and strong gigi2 tu, mommy feed you with food yang umar boleh chew like cookie stick, fruits n etc.

Progress by 8 months

Hai sayang..

yesterday, 23 Sept 2010 umar genap 9 bulan.. there is no celebration of couse! hihi
but yesterday we are at PD, Mommy's office buat family day kat sana.

for today, Mommy nak update progress umar so far.

by 8 months,

1 - Umar dh pandai merangkak, of course! dan sgt laju.. (good boy).. kadang2 umar crawl ke dapur, then stop kat pintu sebab suma org "Umar, come!" "Umar nak g mana tu", "umar..." and mesti ada orang amik Umar when you are about enter the kitchen! bukan tak kasi pegi sayang but it is dengerous ok!

2 - dah bole berdiri sendiri tapi tangan kena pegang something la.. sometimes, you tried to loose your hand for few sec and will hold back anything near kalau tak, confirm jatuh!

3 - Suka crawl to anyone. then berdiri dekat kaki .. then buat muka comel (tau, dengan tujuan org akan angkat Umar kan? ) clever boy!

4 - suka sangat ketuk-ketuk(cepuk-cepuk) meja, kerusi makan, ketuk almari, ketuk apa2 yg bole di ketuk la.. umar ketuk sgt kuat! and sure sakit tapak tangan tu but its your choice and your learning process, Mommy bole larang sekejap jek then you do it again!

5 - sudah pandai menjerit yang sangat kuat dan nyaring! good vocal indeed! hihi
and before tido you selalu buat soft tone (Mommy and Daddy selalu kata Umar tgh zikir before sleep) like dadada..aaaaaaaaaa... and we know that it is the sign that you are about to sleep, selain dari gosok-gosok mata and nangis la..

6 - by 8 months, Umar dah kenal orang and you didnt scare to people. Umar tak kisah sapa-sapa amik Umar.. You are so friendly but it is actually agak bahaya and sangat relevant to - kidnapping! later Mommy tell you ok.

7 - Umar dah gain weight and height yang ideal for your age. and sure Mommy and Daddy tak larat nak dokong lama-lama

8 - sekarang ni, kalau nak pakaikan diapers, memang sangat sukar sebab you will turn and crawl bila Mommy baringkan! its good that you are well develop tapi kadang-kadang Mommy geram sangat Umar..
Then bila marah Umar senyum comel.. camne Mommy nak marah...

9 - Disebabkan Umar dah pandai crawl and stand by yourself, Umar dah gerak jauh and suka pegi tempat-tempat like bawah kerusi, pegi meja, pegi corner tepi tv, pegi kat extension wire, then you like to open pintu cupboard, buka tutup (takut tersepit je Umar.. tu yang everyone larang ok!)

10 - by 8 months, Umar dh dapat 1st injury under your chin. Its quite huge the injury cause bila Umar yang dah sukar dicontrol tried to open pintu almari n terhantuk kat handle. Mommy and Daddy take you to clinic 2 kali and dapat antibiotic n foban. and even worse, the injury cause infection to lengan pulak.. and tell you, its huge injury sayang.. and for baby,, aouchh!!!!!







till then, by today, you are 9 months already honey.

I believe this is the first time I'm posting something here? haha I dunno. but now I think you're a couple more days to officially being NINE MONTHS OLD ;)

You're big and strong and heavy. You got two big red things on your body. one's on your left forearm and the other's on your chin. you've got skin disease, and luckily, you've got medicines to make it better. like your mummy said, it's big enough for us adults to feel it's pain, what does a baby like you feel? apparently, we can't tell, since you can't really talk properly yet (an te te un te aren't exactly words) .

plus, it's getting harder to take care of you, since you're getting older and wiser. you can crawl anywhere now. once, you even reached the kitchen door! one second you're banging the doors of the cupboard (I tied it with potpourris so that you wouldn't be able to open it) and the next you could be tapping on the glass top table.

and just now you crawled to me and came up to my chair. amazing Umar.

Right now, I'm seriously into KPOP and I have successfully pulled your mummy into it too. heehee. my fav boy band is ultimately Super Junior and my bias is Lee Donghae, Cho Kyuhyun and Lee Sungmin x3 maybe you can Google them one day, and their information in Wiki would be totally different than it is now. They would be old news, old and unpopular. even now, only 30% of the world know about them. maybe less.

things would change a lot, wouldn't it? maybe blogs would be much more hi-tech later. I just hope that you'll be using it for the better. don't be selfish, Umar, that's one thing I can advice you on. when you make other people happy, you will feel happy yourself.

Dear Son,

you are now 6 months. I should introduce you to solid food. Your first ever solid food is whipped potato, daddy bought from KFC but without the gravy *at least for today*



This is to introduce you to different texture of food besides milk.

Soon, Mommy will feed you with other different texture and taste!! such as rice poridge, carrot puree, sweet potato puree, biscuits n so on..
